Alice recently joined the World Bank as a Senior Payment Systems Specialist in the Payment Systems Development Group. Prior to joining the World Bank, Alice was the Head of Payment Systems at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe where she was responsible for driving the payment systems modernization for that country. She worked in various areas of the central bank which include internal audit, banking and currency management, export payments, import control, donor fund administration and disbursements.
Alice was the Country Representative for Zimbabwe for regional payment systems projects in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC). She was also the SWIFT User Group Chairperson for Zimbabwe for 4 years.
She has presented various papers on payment systems at regional fora where she has had the opportunity to share experiences and exchange views with international experts. She has also done payment systems consultancy work for the Macro Economic Financial Management Institute (MEFMI), the IMF and World Bank within the African region. Alice holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters in Business Leadership Degree from the University Of South Africa’s School Of Business Leadership.
